Here's what my full workflow looks like

I want to show you what I've built — not to overwhelm you, but because I want you to see what's possible. And then I'm going to give you the piece that starts it all.

1

The Carousel Skill

A custom skill installed in Claude that knows how to build a fully branded carousel in HTML, with my colours, fonts and watermark already set. I describe the topic and it builds the whole thing.

This is what you're getting today
2

One-click ZIP download

The HTML file opens in Chrome. I review every slide, then click one button to download all slides as individual PNGs — no screenshots, no manual saving.

3

Auto-move to Google Drive

A script on my computer watches my Downloads folder. When a carousel ZIP lands there, it automatically extracts the PNGs into a named folder in my Google Drive — so the slides are on my phone within minutes.

4

Logged to my content planner

Claude reads the pending queue and updates my Notion content calendar with the carousel title, post date, caption and Google Drive link. The whole pipeline is automatic after I download the file.

My custom automation

Today I'm giving you step one. The skill itself. It's the part that does the heavy lifting — the rest is just filing. Once you have this installed, you can build a fully designed, on-brand carousel in under 10 minutes.

What this skill actually does

This is a custom skill you install once in Claude. After that, any time you ask Claude to make you a carousel, it follows these instructions automatically — using your brand, your voice, your colours.

🎨

Your brand, every time

Set your colours, fonts and watermark once. Claude uses them for every carousel without being asked.

📐

Instagram-ready sizing

Every carousel is built at exactly 1080×1350px (4:5 ratio) — the ideal format for Instagram carousels.

⬇️

One-click download

A built-in download button saves all your slides as individual PNG files — ready to upload straight to Instagram.

✍️

Content formula included

The skill uses a proven carousel structure: hook, problem, insight, solution, CTA. Strong slides every time.

Copy this into Claude

This is the full skill. Copy it, open Claude, go to Settings, and add it as a custom skill. Instructions below.

instagram-carousel-creator.md
# Instagram Carousel Creator Creates a branded, downloadable Instagram carousel in HTML format at 1080x1350px (4:5 ratio). Output is a single HTML file you open in Chrome, review slide by slide, and download as individual PNG images ready to post. --- ## Your Brand Settings Update these with your own brand before saving the skill: | Token | Value | |---|---| | Background colour | #1a1a1a (replace with yours) | | Text colour | #ffffff (replace with yours) | | Accent colour | #your-accent | | Brand watermark | Your Brand Name | | Heading font | Your Heading Font (Google Fonts) | | Body font | Your Body Font (Google Fonts) | --- ## Before building, confirm: 1. Topic and opening hook — what is this carousel about? 2. Slide count — how many slides? (7-10 recommended) 3. CTA — what should the last slide ask people to do? --- ## Build the carousel Create a single self-contained HTML file with: - All slides at exactly 1080x1350px with CSS viewport scaling for browser preview - Navigation controls (Prev / Next buttons + slide counter) - A "Download all as ZIP" button using JSZip + FileSaver.js from cdnjs.cloudflare.com - html2canvas for PNG capture — temporarily remove CSS transform during render for full resolution - Brand colours, fonts and watermark applied to every slide - A watermark at the bottom of each slide using the brand name Name the file: carousel-[topic-slug].html --- ## Slide structure Follow this formula: 1. Cover — hook headline + eyebrow label 2-3. Problem slides — one specific pain point per slide 4. Insight — the reframe or key idea 5-7. Solution slides — practical steps, one per slide 8. Outcome — what changes when they apply this 9. CTA — one clear action (Comment [KEYWORD] / Save this / Follow for more) --- ## Copy rules - Short sentences. One idea per slide. - Specific beats vague. - No em dashes — use commas or full stops instead. - Warm and direct. Never hype, never corporate. - CTA keyword in ALL CAPS if using a comment trigger. --- ## After creating the file Tell the user: 1. Open the file in Chrome 2. Use Prev / Next to review each slide 3. Click "Download all as ZIP" to get the PNG files 4. Upload the individual slides to Instagram as a carousel post
Good to know

Before saving, replace the placeholder brand colours and fonts with your own. You only need to do this once — Claude will use your settings every time after that.

Five steps, no tech required

1

Copy the skill above

Click the "Copy skill" button in the code block above. The full skill is now on your clipboard.

2

Open Claude and go to Settings

Head to claude.ai, click your profile icon in the top right, and open Settings.

3

Go to Custom Skills

In Settings, find the Skills section. Click "Add custom skill" (or similar — the exact wording may vary).

4

Paste and customise

Paste the skill content. Before saving, update the brand colour and font placeholders with your own values. Name it something like "Carousel Creator".

5

Test it

Start a new Claude conversation and say: "Make me a carousel about [your topic]." Claude will ask a couple of quick questions, then build your first carousel.

You'll need

A Claude Pro subscription (paid plan). The carousel files open and download in Chrome — it does not work in Safari.

This changed how I think about content

I was spending two hours in Canva every time I needed a carousel. Getting the fonts right, fixing the sizing, downloading slides one at a time. It felt like admin that was eating my creative energy before I even started.

Now I describe what I want, Claude builds the whole thing, and I download all my slides in one click. The time I get back goes into actually thinking about what I want to say, not how to make it look right.

This skill is the starting point. Once you have it running and you see how much easier it is, you'll start imagining what else you could hand off.

That's where it gets really interesting.
